Key Features
Compact Design: Grow indoors anywhere—small space, big results!
Unpack your Plaas Pod Mini 6 Pro—here’s what you’ll find:
Plaas Pod Unit
6 x Growing Cups
Hydroponic Pump
1L Bucket with Connector Plate
Step 2: Preparing the Growing Medium
⚠ Heads Up: Skip soil—it’ll clog the pump and top unit, causing trouble.
Fill your cups with these hydroponic-friendly options:
Clay Pebbles (LECA): Perfect for basil or microgreens; holds water well.
Coco Coir: Awesome for lettuce; balances moisture and air.
Rockwool Cubes: Ideal for seed starting (herbs in 4-6 weeks).
Perlite: Light and airy; mix with coir for drainage.
Step 3: Filling Water & Fertilizer
Pour clean water into the 1L bucket.
Add the recommended hydroponic fertilizer for your plants.
Step 4: Assembling the Plaas Pod
Pop the pump into the bucket and secure the connector plate.
Set the Plaas Pod Unit on top of the bucket.
Line up the connector pipes—they’ll slide together easily.
Thread the pump wire through the hole in the main unit.
⚠ Important: If the connector plate isn’t properly attached or the unit isn’t fully seated in the bucket, leaks may occur—double-check alignment!
Operating Instructions
Powering On & Checking Flow
Plug in the pump to start the water flowing.
Ensure it circulates smoothly through the Plaas Pod Unit.
If flow stutters, check the pump’s fully submerged.
First Startup Tip: The growing medium soaks up water fast at first. To keep it running smoothly:
Run the unit for 30 seconds to wet the medium.
Switch off, refill the bucket, and repeat until fully hydrated.
Maintenance & Troubleshooting
✅ Regular Maintenance
Water Refresh: Swap water and nutrients every 7-10 days.
Pump Check: Clear debris from the filter for steady flow.
Quick Clean: Wipe the unit to keep algae at bay.
Daily Top-Up: Lift the unit, check water level, and refill. Realign carefully to avoid leaks or flow hiccups.
Safety & Best Practices
Use only hydroponic nutrients—don’t over-fertilize!
No Soil Allowed: It’ll jam the pump and system.
Keep electrical bits dry and safe from water.
Ensure good airflow to stop mold indoors.
